Intimate Lakeside Ceremony in Marple // Debs & Ollie
This intimate and rustic lakeside wedding in Marple told the stunning story of this sweet couple.
This intimate Marple wedding was extra special for us to shoot. Debs was one of Christina’s first friends when she moved to the UK at 18. Not long after, Christina remembers the joy that surrounded Debs as her and Ollie started dating. Unfortunately, life took them in different directions, and the relationship ended.
In Debs’ own words (which she shared beautifully as a surprise during the ceremony), she entered a season of singleness, and by God’s grace, she was content. But she held on to a promise He’d made to her shortly after they split: “If you let go of him, I’ll give him back to you one day.”
10 years later, we had the honour of photographing the fulfilment of God’s promise; and what’s even sweeter is that the lakeside where we took their pictures was actually where Debs was standing when she heard God speak to her. The tattoo on her back was a declaration that God makes everything beautiful in its time (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and this stunning wedding day was proof.

Magical Waterfall Park Wedding in Northern Ireland // Danielle & Chris
This intimate Northern Ireland wedding at a waterfall park was absolutely stunning.
We were blessed to photograph this Northern Ireland wedding day of two dear friends, and the venue held a particularly special story for the Bride, Danielle: her daddy passed away when she was a child, but the gorgeous waterfall park where she married her sweetheart was a place that her father would bring her as little girl. There were little touches to honour Danielle’s father throughout the day, and it was so emotional yet so sweet.
Family was at the heart of the entire wedding, with a special blessing spoken over them by Danielle’s mum and Chris’ dad (in Greek, no less!). It was such a joy to see these two celebrate their love with those closest to them in a profoundly special place. The night finished with a fantastic live ceilidh band, and it was all smiles as “carriages” took guests home.

Art Gallery Wedding at The Lowry, Salford // David & Vicky
This was the most JOYFUL and laugh-filled wedding day at The Lowry Art Gallery in Salford.
This was one of the most JOYFUL weddings we’ve ever photographed. Similar to their engagement shoot, David & Vicky were all smiles the entire day. And it was so fun to attend the unique venue of The Lowry Art gallery in Salford.
Alongside all the jubilee and laughter, these two organised karaoke throughout the night as well as a confetti bomb first dance. What more could you ask for?
David and Vicky, I hope you laugh your entire way through life and enjoy each other’s company your entire life.

Staffordshire Bluebell Wood Engagement Shoot // Danielle & Chris
Danielle and Chris were as pretty as a picture (yes, pun intended) as they danced in the rain through this lush bluebell wood in Staffordshire.
Danielle and Chris were SO fun to photograph in a local bluebell wood just up the road from our house. It was late afternoon and absolutely tipping it down with rain, but that didn’t put a damper on this engagement shoot one bit!
In a dress to match the bluebells, Danielle embraced the storm (Chris following behind her) and danced through the woodlands. There is more than one metaphor in that, but needless to say, they were so fun and easy to snap photos of as they forgot about the camera and just enjoyed each other’s company. Every photographer’s dream!

Sweet Staffordshire Wedding at Cannock Chase // Matt & Amelia
This international couple overcame thousands of miles and the pandemic to marry in the lovely Cannock Chase area in Staffordshire.
It was an honour to photograph these two’s Cannock Chase wedding in Staffordshire. This couple is the epitome of covenant marriage. The groom is a colleague of mine (Christina’s), and I’ve watched for two years as he and his bride were separated by thousands of miles and a pandemic. Their wedding was meant to be in New Zealand, but again and again, Covid restrictions prevented their plans from going ahead.
Every time I saw Matt at work, I looked at the pain in his eyes and saw my own pain from our pandemic wedding planning. I remember him stopping exactly where he was as I cried with panic, and he just lifted his arm out and prayed. He took that same faith into each battle of his own.
Month after month I watched as Matt & Amelia lived out a story that very much matched mine.
You can’t know the pain of a long-distance relationship unless you’ve lived it. You can’t know the anguish of all the dreams you had for a joyful wedding get snatched away— unless you’ve experienced it. You can’t know what it’s like to miss loved ones who were supposed to be at your wedding and can’t be— all because of a pandemic that is far outside of your control.
These two overcame SO MUCH to fight their way back to each other. It was so fitting that the name of the church where they wed was called “Victory.” And as I had the opportunity to pray over them, that was the word I declared. Over and over. For their love for each other. For their love for Jesus. For the hope they fought for in spite of it all. For the eternity promised by the Saviour they worship.
Congratulations, Matt & Amelia. Victory indeed.

Intimate Lincolnshire Chapel Wedding // David & Clementine
This sweet vintage-themed chapel wedding in Lincolnshire was both unconventional and deeply heartfelt.
This was the most wonderfully unconventional wedding we’ve ever photographed because the Bride and Groom were SO relaxed – to the point that they got ready together that morning, and David helped button up Clementine’s dress!
These two had created a lovely vintage flare to the entire day – with old teapot vases and a pastel pink VW bus to deliver the Bride. But beyond all the sweet touches, it was clear that the most important thing to both of them was their faith and each other.
They put so many careful details into the wedding and reception, but there was… how else can we put it… a lack of “fuss.” Throughout all the planning, and on the day itself, they were so completely happy with the wedding unfolding however it would (a useful approach considering the rushing Lincolnshire wind storm that day).
It was really a privilege to capture their nuptials and witness the love they have for God and each other. We have no doubt that these two will have a long, happy, peaceful life together.

Peak District Engagement shoot in Ilam Park // David & Clementine
These two love birds introduced Chris and I to the stunning Ilam Park in Derbyshire as we wandered around taking photos for their engagement.
Gosh we love repeat clients. David is an incredible musician who hired us to do some branding photos for him a few years ago, and when he met the love of his life, Clementine, we were so excited to get a message saying it was time for a different kind of photoshoot.
David and Clem introduced us to the gorgeous Ilam Park in Derbyshire, where they spend a lot of time going for walks. The park itself is stunning and full of so many different colours and textures. But the sweetest part of this engagement shoot was the quiet kisses and deep smiles that these two shared.
Their Lincolnshire Wedding next year is sure to be just as sweet!

Summer Engagement Shoot in Greater Manchester // David & Vicky
A glorious summer engagement shoot in Greater Manchester at golden hour.
This was possibly both the hardest and easiest engagement shoot we’ve ever done: easy because these two were just a DELIGHT and could not stop smiling; hard because choosing WHICH photos to edit and deliver felt nearly impossible. They had glowing smiles in every single shot!
David & Vicky picked a perfect golden evening in high summer to celebrate their engagement. And it was hard to keep ourselves from laughing with how relaxed and hilarious these two were.
I don’t think there has ever been a couple who will so beautifully laugh their way through life, and we can’t wait to photograph their wedding in Salford next year!

Fairytale Cheshire Wedding at Mottram Hall // Annaliesa & Elliott
This Cheshire wedding was nothing short of a sparkly fairytale. They even had glitter face paint at the reception!
After photographing these two for their engagement back in 2019, we knew that their wedding day would be nothing short of a fairytale – and we were right! The couple held a ceremony in the bride’s childhood church and then celebrated their reception at the stunning Mottram Hall in Cheshire.
It’s worth noting that the staff at this venue were incredibly kind and couldn’t be more helpful to Chris and I as vendors. And that theme continued throughout the day: the wedding party, the Bride’s parents, everyone was just so notably kind and full of joy.
The day itself was something straight out of a Disney movie, with Annaliesa looking like an absolute queen in her billowing skirts, walking through the rose garden as Elliott glanced at her like her knight in shining armour.
These two clearly adore each other and are so loved by the people around them – the speeches were so authentic and sweet, and the Groom was even kind enough to thank us during his own speech (a first for us!).
Photographing these two, and all their friends and family, was genuinely so fun. We even joined everyone after we clocked off for a wee dance (much to the surprise of the band!). Annaliesa and Elliott, thank you for choosing us to capture your fairytale. It was an honour!

Intimate Vow Renewal in Greater Manchester // Robbie & Kia
This sweet couple held a private vow exchange when the pandemic altered their original wedding plans. It was such a stunning morning spent at Rivington Pike in Bolton.
As an international couple who got married during the pandemic ourselves, we deeply resonated with Robbie & Kia’s story. Kia is from the US while Robbie is British. They officially married at a registry office in Texas in 2019 with a plan to hold a huge, beautiful wedding celebration in 2020. And like us, their plans were dashed by the arrival of Covid.
While we felt the heartbreak of their loss, it was such an honour when they asked if we would be willing to photograph them renewing their vows, just the two of them, so that they had beautiful photos to commemorate their marriage (and of course, to give Kia the chance to wear her gorgeous wedding gown).
We hiked up to Rivington Pike in Bolton in the frigid morning air towards the end of 2020. They were the only couple who we were blessed to photograph that year.
Chris and I prayed over the pair of them before they shared their handwritten vows to one another, and though it wasn’t what they planned, Robbie and Kia’s union was and is stunning. And we hope that one day, they’ll be blessed to have a larger celebration with all those who they love most.

Rustic Anglesey Wedding in North Wales // Andy & Megan
This gorgeous rustic barn wedding in North Wales on Anglesey was so relaxed and full of love.
This rustic Anglesey wedding in North Wales this summer was an absolute delight.
Andy and Megan were such a pleasure to serve. From the thoughtful beach where we shot their portraits (a beach whose sand is laced into their custom-made wedding rings) to the beautifully poetic speeches, it was clear that they are so loved.
Through creative ways of decorating (like using hedge clippings as greenery), they managed to create an environment that was both elegant and relaxed. There was such a casual sense of togetherness and community, and as we walked around snapping photos, I thought to myself "Yes. This is what a wedding celebration is all about."
Andy and Megan, we wish you a long and happy marriage together, and we hope that these photos will always remind you that your marriage is a stronghold of God's delight.

Magical Woodland Engagement Shoot in the Peak District // Annaliesa & Elliott
This mid-summer woodland engagement shoot in the Peak District was so magical – perfect for a bride-to-be who is basically a Disney Princess!
Annaliesa was described to me as a “real life Disney Princess” before I met her, and that description did not disappoint. Her and her fiancé, Elliott, were just the sweetest dream couple, and we really enjoyed spending a late summer’s morning pottering through the woodlands with them just outside Marple in the Peak District.
To celebrate their engagement, we were looking for that magic light to give them fairytale images perfect for their Save The Dates, and the weather did not disappoint! We even managed to find some flower bushes with a pink that perfectly matched Annaliesa’s pink dress!
Fancy an Engagement shoot before the big day?
North Wales Wedding // Aled & Emily
This stunning summer wedding in North Wales was the perfect combo of golden hour light and pastel florals…
I (Christina) had the honour of capturing the wedding day of two very dear friends of mine, which obviously meant that I was fogging up my viewfinder with tears. Aled & Em did a stunning job on their budget wedding in North Wales (which is where Aled is from). Despite the rain on the day, the joy and colour that these two weaved into their details made it feel every bit the beautiful, summery June wedding they'd hoped for.
Emily especially added a special touch with the fact that she did all of her own flowers. She told me during our first meeting that one of the most important aesthetic elements for her wedding was "colour." She LOVES sweet, tasteful colour, and she even gets excited when she sees me wear outfits with colourful florals on them.
Aside from the beautiful florals, the other thing that stood out to me at the Parry Wedding was the pure joy that permeated the room. All hands were raised in rapturous worship, and the cheering that erupted when they were pronounced "Man & Wife" shook the walls of the little village church. Throughout the day, it was nothing but smiles, laughter, and genuine happiness.
And God sent us one final blessing at the end of the day: Aled & Emily scheduled their couple shots to take place after the celebrations were over so that they wouldn't be taken away from their guests, and with such luck, it turned out that around 7pm, the rain stopped, the clouds cleared, and the sun came out for the most glorious golden hour as we marched atop a mountain overlooking the Welsh sea. As we. hiked up to Graig Fawr, every moment I hoped to capture was given to us, down to the final moments of our shoot where the sun tipped over the crest of the hill and sent us a flood of gold into the meadow where we were wrapping up. I spotted the pocket of sunshine and shouted "RUN FOR THAT LIGHT!" So Aled helped Em lift up her skirts (twelve "onion" layers, as he called them) to dash for the final opportunity that the sunset offered us. And as the light dipped below the crest again, I had the opportunity to pray over these two sweet souls and call God's blessings over their beautiful marriage.
I've been to many weddings in my career, and I've seen some of the most creative, elaborate, thoughtful, and beautiful days, but there was something about Aled & Emily's that was drenched in more joy than I have ever seen. There is clearly a rally of people behind them supporting their covenant and praying for their love.

Snowy Mam Tor engagement in the Peak District // Aled & Emily
This sweet engagement photoshoot in the snowy Peak District hills of Mam Tor had a little extra story behind it…
We had the opportunity to freeze our fingers off for this super special (okay, they're all special, but REALLY this one was special) Peak District engagement photoshoot with Aled & Emily on the snowy crest-line near Castleton on Sunday. The thing that made this shoot so lovely is that Aled had originally planned on proposing to Emily at the top of this mountain. It's called "Mam Tor," which means "Mother Mountain," and it's named as such because the shifts in the earth have continually "given birth" to new, tiny mountains. There's remnants of the many attempts to build a road up the side of it, but the council eventually gave up when they saw that the land would not remain stagnant.
Unfortunately for Aled, extenuating circumstances prevented him from being able to propose to Emily here, which is why I'm so glad that I got to take them back (in the Narnia-like snow, no less!) for their engagement shoot to celebrate their upcoming wedding in June.
(Okay, so my foot got stuck in a snowy bog and I lost all feeling in my fingers, but it was totally worth it.)
This might sound cheesy, but I literally don't think it's possible for this couple to be any cuter if they tried. When I sent Emily a few sneak peeks from this shoot, I expected a response along the lines of "Oh, they're beautiful!" or "I love it!" But what did I get instead? "I just love him so much!" For her, it wasn't about the photos so much as the man who was in them. And that's exactly the kind of love I seek to capture with my wee camera.
That kind of love is so precious and so pure, and I just can't get over how evident it is in these images of the two of them. I hope you get the same sort of joy that I did when you see the way they look at each other because it's reminder to all of us that love is sweet, kind, and so worth celebrating.
Sweet Back Garden Tipi Wedding in Yorkshire // Lauren & James
I loved second-shooting for this sweet back garden tipi wedding for Lauren and James in Yorkshire!
I (Christina) had the opportunity to second shoot for Lauren & James’ wedding alongside the incredible Hannah from Pip & Wolf Photography.
This sweet couple were so quiet, but the way they looked at each other betrayed just how desperately in love they were. After a church ceremony, they had the most beautiful, intimate back garden reception with their closest family and friends, complete with a tipi and tree house!
It was such a delight to shoot alongside Hannah and watch these two love birds tie the knot.
